YUNKAI (talk) 08:27, 7 January 2009 (UTC)which article and where should i put them? thanks[reply]

YUNKAI (talk) 08:38, 7 January 2009 (UTC)I have put notes in two of the articles I editted, please check[reply]

I was referring to the additions to Winter Solstice. Where is that information from? Citations are done in the main text, but when you read the article they appear in the references or notes section because of formatting.

If I add a citation to this sentence, I type this at the end.<ref>''Winter Solstice'' by Bart Simpson January 7, 2008 New York Times http://wikipedia.com</ref>.

It appears like this:

I type this at the end.[1]

I hope that helps. To indent your comments and respond to people you use colons. One colon indents once. Two twice etc. Your signature of four tildes ~~~~ goes after your comments.

Here's a giant welcome template with some links you may find interesting, informative, amusing and/or irrelevant. Delete it if you don't want it. Please if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. You can also type {{help}} and your question on this page and someone will respond, as if by magic! Addendum

[edit]

The refs look good to me, that's how I like them to look. The most standard format for refs is explained at wp:citation and starts with the author last name , last name. I don't like this format, so sorry if I gave you less than ideal instructions. All the instruction pages can be found at "wp:" and then the subject. So wp: photos, wp:notability, wp: reliable sources etc. Good luck. ChildofMidnight (talk) 17:26, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
